Decatur Metal Braces

At Clinebell & Anderson, we offer the latest braces technology to our patients of all ages in Decatur and surrounding areas. Our metal braces are robust, durable, and affordable, making them the best treatment for orthodontic patients in Decatur every year.

Metal braces have had a reputation for being awkward and obvious. But, because of modern orthodontics, you’ll benefit from versions that are more compact, less visible, and more comfortable than ever before.

Braces are great at fixing complex tooth issues. They can work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other treatments. At Clinebell & Anderson Orthodontics, metal braces can potentially shorten your treatment time.

Metal braces are cost-effective because they don’t require some of the more complex technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments do.

What's So Special About Our Braces?

The Damon® System

Think of the Damon® Q bracket like a door. The door slides over the wire to attach to the tooth. Comprised of stainless steel, the Damon® Q bracket will afford the patient an effortless, even option for braces. Whereas typical metal braces come with harsh elastics, the Damon® Q enhances smiles without rubbing or irritation.

Instead, the cutting-edge door implement helps the braces fit flush with the teeth. You will also find that Damon® brackets enable patients to keep up hygienic practices more easily than ordinary metal braces.

What Are Damon® Q Braces Made of?

Brackets

The brackets Dr. Clinebell and Dr. Anderson will use are durable and made from stainless steel.

The Damon® Q brackets have little doors where a wire is threaded. A bracket can be secured by closing the door or over the top of the wire.

Glue

This is what Dr. Clinebell and Dr. Anderson will use to attach the brackets to your teeth. It’s common to attach the bracket directly to the tooth with glue.

Wire

This thin piece of metal runs from one bracket to another. Dr. Clinebell and Dr. Anderson will change the wire's shape and curvature to move your teeth in the right direction.

The wire will attach all of your bottom or upper teeth together in many cases. We might occasionally cut the wire if connecting just a few teeth is better for your treatment plan.
